| 4/8/08 - BIO-key International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BKYI), a leader in finger-based biometric identification and wireless public safety solutions, announced that it will be showcasing its fingerprint biometric products at the 2008 RSA Conference. This information security event will be held at the Moscone Conference Center from April 7th to April 11th in San Francisco, CA. BIO-key will demonstrate its state-of-the-art identification solutions based on its patented, award winning biometric technology in booth #750.
BIO-key will demonstrate a wide spectrum of solutions that have been successfully deployed using BIO-key's authentication software. Some of the more notable solutions include: point-of-sale offerings from Radiant Systems; network log-on and Single-Sign-On (SSO) applications with partners IdentiPHI, Sig-Tec, Janus Associates and Softex; secure wireless access with biometrics on a Fujitsu tablet computer; secure email applications with partner, Living Software; and a large scale identification application currently deployed in Bangladesh that will comprise of 100 million enrollments by year-end 2008. Each of these solutions leverages the superior accuracy and scalability that BIO-key's software provides. Additionally, they take advantage of BIO-key's finger reader independence and interoperability that allows users to select the appropriate fingerprint reader from any of the major manufacturers. At the conference, BIO-key will also feature their newest release of WEB- key, a cost effective fingerprint based authentication system. This unique solution can be easily deployed into virtually any application to positively identify users before allowing access to valuable corporate resources, web portals or applications. When used in conjunction with a token, with just a simple swipe of a finger, BIO-key's authentication replaces less secure usernames, passwords or PINs. This capability is a significant improvement in both convenience and security and provides organizations with a cost effective solution to thwart "phishing" attacks and comply with regulations such as FIPS 201 credentialing, FFIEC compliance, HIPAA, Sarbanes Oxley, Visa PCI, and the Electronic Signatures Act.
